Miguel Carvalhais & Pedro Tudela: computers, sound; Rodrigo Carvalho: computer, lights, visuals.
Audiovisual performance developed with a modular system with which the three performers interact in a continuous exercise of generative composition with sound, lights, and visuals. 30×n explores a territory in which computers are used not only as instruments or tools for visual and sonic production but rather as agents and creative partners. 30×n is a meeting between performers, audience, and machines, from where the piece emerges.
30×n was premiered at CAAA, Guimarães in the context of the exhibition Net Arte no Triângulo das Bermudas, October 12, 2024.
Pedro Tudela & Miguel Carvalhais collaborate as @c since 2000, having produced a long list of performances, releases, and installations. They often collaborate with other artists and collectives, in a practice marked by radical experimentation with computational sound. In 2003 they founded Crónica, a label dedicated to experimental music and sound art.
Rodrigo Carvalho (Visiophone) is a designer and artist working with computational media to create visuals, creative programming and interactive art in contexts that range from screens to stages and installations.
