Haze, eight speakers, two subwoofers, three video projectors, computers, software.

May 2015, Chapel of Serralves Villa, Porto. Commissioned by Serralves Foundation for the festival Serralves em Festa and curated by Pedro Rocha.

An installation for a weekend-long event, Divisor/4 confronted visitors with a space that extended vertically through the diffusion of copious amounts of haze that coalesced in a dark cloud suspended in the upper half of the room. The setup included loudspeakers mounted on the ground floor, to which the audience had access, and several others mounted four metres above the floor, vertically extending the sound stage. This level was also where we were activating the installation, deep within this cloud, hidden from the view of the visitors while constantly present. Unlike all other installations we have created, this was non-automated and non-autonomous, a hybrid of an installation and a durational performance.
