In order to create this piece, we collected materials from the warehouses of the University, which we used in an open construction. The work explored the architectural and acoustic context of the room, exposing ourselves and the nascent piece to the effects of random events, coincidences, and relationships discovered during the physical act of construction. The outcome was a body of work that expanded through the room and from where sound and light radiated, reflected and filtered, resonating with the space and visitors. Hidden speakers in the back of the room diffused sounds that propagated through the space, while smaller speakers, installed in the piece, diffused more localised sounds that sometimes could only be perceived in close proximity.
